Melissa touched many lives with her beauty, talents and her creativity.  She instilled in the lives of many young people to always be loving and considerate of others while staying focused on their dreams and goals.

Her life was filled with passion and determination and it was reflected in the lives of those she touched. Melissa was a friend to all and treated everyone the way she would want to be treated.  Her kindness and generosity was exemplified in the way she lived her life.

Melissa Ann James Memorial Scholarship

Melissa’s goal was to inspire children and young adults to reach their full potential in the fulfillment of their dream in the dancing profession. From preschool to high school age she devoted herself to each and every one with patience and determination. It is our desire that her dream live on in the lives of others who desire to attain a dancing career. 




At Gulf Coast Community College it is our wish that the Melissa Ann James Memorial Scholarship Fund provide the opportunity for others to fulfill their dreams and goals in the field of performing arts with the emphasis on dance. It is very appropriate as Melissa was a student at Gulf Coast Community College.
